About the Camp

Technology Camp 2010 will be held at Elstree School, near Reading, Berkshire.  There are two 5-day sessions being run this year, starting July 17 and August 17 (yes, one starts on a Saturday, and one on a Tuesday!).  There is also a special 'Invention' camp running from August 24.

The camp is not like any other around - it is designed to capture the excitement of all children, whatever their abilities or interests, and the activities are designed to appeal to any child, not just those who may be gifted in the areas of science or technology.

Children should be between 10-13 years of old (usually finishing years 5-8 in the academic year before the summer holidays).

The camp may be attended on a day basis (roughly 9am-5:00pm), or on a residential basis.  The residential optional will provide extra activities at night that the day students will not be involved in.  At previous camps we have ran "Campfire Chemistry", a 3D Movie night, "Robot Wars", a liquid nitrogen demonstration, "Night-time Rocketry", "Slime Night", and "Extreme Gaming Night".  We haven't announced this year's night-time activities yet, but they are sure to be just as fun, so if you are unsure whether to stay with us overnight or not, then you might like to consider the residential option if at all possible.
